Project
Tribal Goods Trail
Tribal Goods Trail is a visibility and accountability platform built to support Indigenous makers, artists, and community-based goods while honoring cultural protocols, consent, and governance. The platform provides ethical pathways for discovery without extracting data, ownership, or control from the communities it serves.
Coming soon to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
SupportPurpose
The project creates verified pathways for people to find Indigenous goods and understand provenance without forcing communities to give up control. Tribal Goods Trail balances visibility with consent, cultural context, and community-led accountability.
Support Tribal Goods Trail
Tribal Goods Trail is free to use and guided by Indigenous values. Donations support infrastructure, security, verification systems, and community-governed expansion without monetizing creators or selling data.
Payments are securely processed via Stripe. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
How Donations Are Used
- Platform hosting and security
- Indigenous business and maker verification
- Mapping and discovery infrastructure
- Accessibility and language support
- Community governance and consent tools
Tribal Goods Trail will never charge Indigenous creators for visibility or sell community data.
Guiding principles
- Community-led oversight with clear accountability for how information is shared.
- Respect for cultural boundaries, including what should not be digitized or surfaced.
- Traceable provenance that protects makers without turning tradition into a product.
How it avoids extraction
Tribal Goods Trail does not monetize community data and does not expose sensitive cultural information. Visibility is granted on the community's terms, with a focus on accountability rather than extraction.
